Sessions on Google Meet
You've noticed something. Let's look at it together.
Little Roots works with children on speech, language, and fluency — over video, from your own home, with a therapist who shows you exactly what to practise between sessions.
No referral needed · Ages 2–14 · English, Hindi and Malayalam
One word, taken apart
A word a child can't say is rarely one problem. Broken into pieces it becomes three small ones — and those are teachable, one at a time.
Who we help
What brings most families here
If any of these sound familiar, the screening call will tell you whether therapy is needed — and it's free either way.
Unclear speech
You understand your child, but teachers and strangers often don't. Sounds get swapped, softened, or dropped altogether.
Articulation & phonologyLate talking
Fewer words than other children the same age, or words that haven't started joining into sentences yet.
Language delayStammering
Repeating sounds, stretching them out, or getting stuck — especially when excited, tired, or hurried.
FluencyAutism & communication
Building functional communication, turn-taking, and reliable ways to be understood — spoken or otherwise.
Social communicationSchool readiness
Following instructions, answering questions, and keeping up with classroom language before Grade 1.
Listening & pre-literacyParent coaching
For families who want tools rather than weekly sessions. You do the practice at home; we shape and review it.
Home programmeHow it works
Three steps, in order
Step one · Free · 20 minutes
Screening call
You describe what you're seeing. We ask a handful of questions and tell you honestly whether this needs therapy, watching for a few months, or nothing at all.
Step two · 60 minutes
Assessment
A structured session with your child on Google Meet, followed by a written report: what's happening, why, and what we'd work on first.
Step three · Weekly · 40 minutes
Sessions and home practice
Games, not drills. You sit in, learn the technique, and get a short daily practice plan. Progress is reviewed every six weeks.
On Google Meet
"Will my child sit through a video call?"
Most do — because sessions are built around play, and because your child is at home in a room they already know. Two things make online therapy work better than a clinic for many families.
You're in the room
Parents watch every session and learn the technique first-hand, instead of waiting outside a clinic door. That's what carries progress into the rest of the week.
Practice happens where life does
We work with your child's own toys, books, and routines — so new skills don't have to travel from a therapy room back home.
Joining is one tap
When you book, Google Meet creates the link and adds it to your calendar. No app to install and no password — open the invite at session time and you're in.
What you'll need
A laptop, tablet, or phone with a working camera, a reasonably stable connection, and a quiet corner with room to sit together. Headphones help older children focus. Children under five usually do best on a parent's lap or beside them at a table.
About
Small practice, close attention
Little Roots is a small online speech therapy practice for children. Sessions are run by a qualified, RCI-registered speech-language pathologist, and every family works with the same therapist throughout — no rotating panel, no handovers.
Our approach is simple: the hour a child spends with a therapist matters far less than the ten minutes a day they spend with a parent who knows exactly what to do. So you're in every session, and you leave each one knowing what to work on, why it matters, and what progress should look like.
- RCI-registered speech-language pathologist
- Children aged 2 to 14
- Sessions in English, Hindi and Malayalam
- Families across India and the Gulf
What we won't do
We won't recommend therapy your child doesn't need. If the screening call suggests things are on track, we'll say so and tell you what to watch for.
We won't promise timelines we can't keep. Progress varies, and you'll get an honest review every six weeks.
And for feeding or swallowing difficulties, or anything needing hands-on support, we'll refer you to someone local rather than take it on.

Parents
In their words
His teacher asked what changed. Four months ago she couldn't follow half of what he said in class.
I was sure online wouldn't hold her attention. She now asks whether today is a "speech day".
What helped most was being told exactly what to do at home. Ten minutes a day, and we could see it working.

Questions
Before you book
How young is too young to start?
We assess from around age two. Below that, sessions focus on coaching you rather than working directly with your child — which is what the evidence supports at that age anyway.
How long does therapy usually take?
It depends on the concern. A single sound error often resolves in three to four months of weekly sessions. Language delay and fluency work usually run longer. We review every six weeks and will tell you when you can stop.
Do I need to sit through every session?
For children under seven, yes — you're part of how it works. For older children, you join the last five minutes to pick up the week's practice plan.
What if we miss a session?
Reschedule free with 24 hours' notice. Later than that the session is counted, though we'll always try to find another slot in the same week.
Is online really as good as meeting in person?
For most speech, language, and fluency work, yes — and having a parent trained in the room often makes it better. For feeding or swallowing difficulties, or where hands-on support is needed, we'll tell you and help you find someone local.
How do we pay?
UPI or bank transfer, before each session or at the start of a block. An invoice is sent for every payment.
